Description
A well-established healthcare network in New York is seeking a Director of Compliance to lead regulatory and HIPAA compliance initiatives across their physician services division. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a large, reputable academic medical center that offers strong growth potential and the chance to shape compliance culture from the top down.
The Director of Compliance will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the Annual Corporate Compliance Work Plan through internal risk assessments and federal/state initiatives
- Serving as the HIPAA Privacy Officer, maintaining policies, the Compliance Manual, and Code of Conduct documentation
- Conducting compliance training for new staff, house staff, and annual mandatory programs
- Investigating compliance violations and collaborating with senior leadership on corrective action and resolution
- Identifying high-risk areas, preparing audit plans, and providing trend analysis reports for management and regulatory agencies
Estimated salary range of $145,466-184,134 along with full hospital benefits
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of compliance or regulatory management experience in a large tertiary or academic healthcare facility
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare regulations, and internal audit practices
